Quilt/ heavy blanket
There’s no way not to create waste during scarf and blanket manufacture. This has been made from the selvedges of scarves.
I've cut the fringing off, ironed every strip then attached it to my longarm machine to create a warp. Once attached I've woven each strip, i.e. creating a weft, which I've then stitched. I like the thought that this has been double woven - that it's already woven cashmere that's been cut up, then re-woven using a different technique
